Nothing will hand over you jump higher than stepping on a wild turkey. That's what happened right before this picture. We were walking through the woods on the assume the expenses of bird count and I came very close to stepping right on this giant bird. I secure you, turkeys can fly...

Wild turkeys can translation up to 25 miles per hour. They feed in fields during the day & roost in trees at night.

We ardour seeing these birds ...very few in the '80s, many more now since they've been reintroduced. I'll never forget the time one was on our front porch looking in our dining apartment window back in '97. :)

Due to realm destruction & unregulated hunting, wild turkeys disappeared from Ontario at the turn of the century. They were reintroduced in the beginning 1980's and have made a great comeback.
